A OneNote notebook is automatically created for a record the first time you select the OneNote tab in the activities area in model-driven and customer engagement apps. After the dedicated OneNote notebook is created for that record, you can view and navigate to that notebook from any Dynamics 365 apps client.
If you’ve adopted OneNote as your note-taking program of choice, you’ll probably want to share or send a Notebook at some point. Luckily, OneNote makes this quite easy. I’ll note that the instructions below also apply to individual Sections in Notebooks! There is also a difference between sharing and sending–when you share a Notebook, you’re sharing a ‘living’ document that will always be up-to-date, while sending a notebook just sends a copy of a specific file.

- I've had a lot of users asking what happened to the Send to OneNote button in Outlook. Others just wanted to know what happened to OneNote. An upgrade happened and OneNote 2016 is no longer included with the Office 365 or Office 2018 installations. Microsoft is encouraging users to use the Windows 10 OneNote app instead.
- OneNote 2021 v2103 is actually generated using OneNote v2103 in Microsoft 365 until 2021 march, repackaged, and changed the year number. There are new features compared to OneNote 2016, as well as removals. Overall, little has changed. Online Video In “Insert” tab, add new group “Media”, add new “Online Video” feature.
